WE HAD TO DO A LITTLE GROUND WORK. LUckily THERE WAS A GOOD TEAM WAITING.
A NICE SURPRISE, WABy AND FINA WERE ALSO STAYING AT THE LITTLE WOODEN HOUSES. WABy IS SUPER COOL AND once I GOT TO KNOW FINA "THE MEXICAN QUEEN", WE SOON BECAME GOOD FRIENDS.
AND THE AREA AROUND IT
"Galicia, an autonomous region on Spain’s rugged northwestern coast, is home to ancient relics, pagan myths and a vibrant, living history unlike anywhere else in the world. The area boasts some of the most spectacular gorge scenery in Europe. Terraces of vines perch precariously on improbably steep slopes and a multitude of medieval monasteries, churches and chapels overlook the rivers or nestle in gentler terrain nearby. Lying northeast of Ourense the Ribera Sacra is located deep in the interior of Galicia. From early Christian times hermits and then monks settled in the area, building monasteries which exerted an influence over the whole of Galicia"
GALICIA IS STUNNING :-)
SINCE BEING HERE I´VE MADE FRIENDS WITH SOME GREAT PEOPLE
AND THERE PARTLY THE REASON I FIND IT HARD TO MOVE ON....
HERE ARE SOME OF THE THINGS I HAVE GOT UP TO WHILST LIVING HERE
EATING FOOD FROM THE GARDEN AND LEARNING TO GROW MY OWN FOODS
fitting THE SOLAR system and changing the electrics from 220v - 12 volts
BUILDING OUR OWN COMPOSTING TOILET
building THE KITCHEN
FIXING THE LOG BURNER AND INSTALLING A NEW FLU
MAKING OUR OWN CLAY POT FRIDGE
doing a Queimada
"which is a ritual to distance the bad spirits that, according with the tradition, lie in wait for men and women to try to curse them.Queimada is now part of the Galician tradition and considered as a sign of Galician identity."
