Gunderson Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation rebuild. restore. return.

If you’ve suffered an illness or injury that requires a period of intense therapy, our team at Lehigh Valley Health Network's Gunderson Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation in Hazleton is here to help. Our goal is to build your strength, restore as much independence as possible and return you home.

FOCUS ON INDEPENDENCE

All our patients receive at least three hours of therapy a day, for a minimum of five days a week. Your rehabilitation program will be customized to meet your specific needs and abilities, with a goal of increasing your independence as much as possible. You’ll be encouraged to:

  • Actively participate in your individualized therapy program
  • Join in group activities that help support your therapy
  • Participate in daily care activities such as dressing and grooming
  • Eat your meals with our other patients in the dining room
Rehabilitation is a team effort. So while you’re working on restoring function and building independence, your family will learn how to support you and take an active role in your ongoing recovery.
