This is the Zuidwal Volcano. The Zuidwal volcano is an extinct volcano in the Netherlands that is more than 6,000 feet below the Wadden Sea.A long time ago the volcano effected people with short but very severe with heavy explosions.

In Netherlands they have the Anne Frank Museum. The Anne Frank museum is important to Netherlands because it shows where Anne and her family lived. The house was supposed to be demolished but the people who own and run the museum bought it.
The Netherlands is in the northwest corner of Europe. It is bordered by Germany on the east and Great Britain to the west across the English Channel.
The Netherlands speak dutch. Dutch comes from the English and German language.

The Netherlands religion is scattered with a different variety of percentage's, for the Roman Catholic the percent is 28%, Protestant is 19%, other 11%, and none is 42%.

The most common food in the Netherlands is the " Kroket ". The kroket is a deep fried roll with meat ragout inside covered in breadcrumbs.
Soccer is the most common sport in the Netherlands followed buy field hockey and volleyball going into second and third most popular team sports. Tennis, gymnastics, and golf are the three most common individual played sports. The Netherlands won the UEFA ( Union of European Football Associations )championship in 1988, and hold the record for playing the most World Cups without ever winning.

This is the traditional Netherlands costumes worn by women include ankle-length dresses with long sleeves, aprons and a small fitted cloth hat. Men wear a traditional costume with a long sleeve button up shirt; loose, pleated front pants; neck scarf and hat. Traditional costumes usually include a pair of decorated wooden shoes worn by both genders.

The one major war was World War ll. The Netherlands in World War II began with its invasion by Nazi Germany on May 10, 1940. The Netherlands had proclaimed neutrality when war broke out in September 1939, just as it had in World War I, but Adolf Hitler ordered it to be invaded anyway. On May 15, 1940, one day after the bombing of Rotterdam, the Dutch forces surrendered.
Vincent Van Gogh was born in the Netherlands, when he was 20 he was transferred to the Groupil Gallery in London. That's when he fell in love with art. Vincent was famous for his art work. The work that he did was noticeable for its beauty, emotion and color.

This is called a draaiorgel. The draairogel is a musical instrument that is played by moving musical parts. There is a turning pinned barrel or disc, or a cardboard or paper strip with holes in it.
