In-person graduation held for the Class of 2020 Ellie Kim and Spencer Goldstein

An in-person graduation ceremony was held for the Class of 2020 Thursday evening. Over 210 people, around 70 of which were graduates, attended the ceremony, which took place on the Pascack Valley football field and began at 6 pm. Each graduate was permitted to bring two guests and was required to bring a consent form, as well as a face mask. Chairs provided by the school were spaced out to comply with social distancing and state guidelines.

The ceremony began with the procession of graduates and the playing of the national anthem. Speeches were given by various graduates and administrators, including interim principal John Puccio and Senior Class President Emily Kennedy. Pre-recorded speeches from speakers who were unable to attend were also played during the ceremony.

While there are 296 graduates, a significant portion of the senior class was not in attendance, as many are away for “Beach Week” – an annual student-organized tradition in which graduates take a trip to the beach after the conclusion of the school year.

Below are pictures and videos taken during the event.
