Mrs. Elrod's Newsletter Week of 5-13-19

Lakeshore Happenings:

  • Fourth grade EOGs are May 29th and 30th.
  • Picnic in the Park is May 31st.
  • Volunteer Breakfast is June 5th at 8 am. If you have helped our class in any way this year (chaperoned, counted box tops, dropped off needed supplies, watched the class during luncheons, etc) please attend so that we may honor YOU!

Eog olympics

This week, students are working in teams in a friendly competition! They are reviewing math and reading skills to prepare for the EOGs.

EOG practice

I included these links last week and thought I'd put them here one more time in case you need them. Working on these practice tests will help your child prepare for the rigor of the tests.

EOG Test proctors needed

We are in need of proctors to assist with EOG testing. If you think you can help, please contact Mr. Saraco at frank_saraco@iss.k12.nc.us

This Week:

Math: Students are learning about angles within a circle. They will also learn to use a protractor this week. By Thursday, we will be working on the last portion of our measurement standard by learning to convert from large to small units within the metric system.

Reading/ELA: Students will work on practice tests to prepare for the EOGs.

Spelling/Vocabulary: No spelling/vocabulary this week

Science: Most of our science time is taken by EOG Olympics this week, but we may squeeze some work learning about fossils.
