Making the Moon 2nd Grade ~ Jan. 20, 2017

Today we made the moon!

We made homemade moon sand with just a little flour and baby oil and recreated the moon's surface! We then dropped space rocks (marbles and beads) to make craters on our moons. The kids came up with the idea of adding the American flag, astronauts, and space ships to their moons. They even used their fingers to make footprints of the astronauts! Such a fun and creative group!

Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon! -Paul Brandt
