This fantastic journey with SAP all begun when I undertook the SAP ABAP and TERP10 courses at the National Central University, which is a SAP Academic Competence Center(ACC) and incorporated SAP University Alliances Curriculum. These courses rendered me an opportunity to get a glimpse into the world of SAP, and provided me with the opportunity to be an intern at one of the best software companies in the world.

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude towards Mr. Crispian and Ms. Jessica as my supervisors, for your instruction, motivational words and constructive suggestions during my internship period. Special thanks to my colleagues from SAP University Alliances team, Ms. Jenny, Alicia, Carol, Josie, Abe, Jia Li, Mr. Rahul, CJ and Benny for your continual support and patient guidance during the time we work together.

Last but not least, thank you Ann Rosenberg, for giving me the opportunity to join SAP under the University Alliances APJ team, and thank you for your appreciation. University Alliances team complete my internship in SAP. All of you are my greatest teachers and best friends forever.

NCU Road Show, 12 April to 14 April 2016

Each year, NCU organizes a University roadshow to travel through Taiwan in 3 locations - Taipei (North), Taichung (Central) and Kaohsiung (South) to recruit more universities to teach SAP to their students. NCU invited SAP UA to the roadshows in 3 locations to promote SAP UA membership program to universities in Taiwan.

  • A total of 40 professors from 18 Universities participated at the roadshows in 3 locations in Taiwan

The first event that was assigned to me was to understand what's the SAP UA membership program, and shared with the professors from each university in Taiwan. This event taught me a lot about how to precisely present the services we can offer and how to successfully cooperate with the professors by understanding and satisfying their requirements.

Crispian Tan sharing with universities how they can join SAP UA membership to teach and learn the latest technologies from SAP ERP to SAP HANA, S4HANA, Industrie 4.0, HCP etc.

In additional, I also be an executor to make sure everything goes smoothly according to our plan. Finally, we make the conference a huge success thanks to the best team of the world, SAP UA APJ team! PACIS is the AIS-Affiliated Conference in APJ.

  • The theme of the conference “IT Governance for Future Society".
  • More than 600 participants attended PACIS 2016.
  • Contacting with more than 35 professors and schools .

Another initiative I worked on was to engage with the professors attended PACIS 2016 to promote SAP UA Innovation Network and introduce how the SAP Next-Gen Consulting Labs work to inspire students in the IT field. This event is the first conference I attend. It's a wonderful experience to expose myself in a space fulfilled with latest IT technologies and learning technical expertise from the professors and researchers. Special thanks to Mr. Crispian and Ms. Jenny gave me this opportunity to broaden my horizons.

Next-Gen Project for customer by National Central University Taiwan and Komazawa University, September 2016

National Central University (NCU), Taiwan, SAP Academic Competence Center (ACC) was leading a group of students, as part of the SAP Next-Gen Consulting Lab initiative, to work with Komazawa University (active Japan UA member) for a Japanese customer – Anritsu - in the Electronic Test Equipment Industry

In this event, I realized how Next-Gen Lab can conduct a cross countries project and how Next-Gen talents can practice what they've learned under a collaboration between SAP's UA members and SAP's customers. As I was assigned to record the feedback from the young talents, I found each talent has the potential to cope with real-world problems only need a chance to make it happened. I hope NCU Next-Gen lab can carry on more of this project in the future and provides more opportunity for these talents to enrich their knowledge and broaden their mind.

Last but not least, thanks UA APJ team again for making my journey in SAP so fruitful and wonderful, and special thanks again to my manager, Crispian Tan and Jessica Chang for your immense support and guidance throughout my internship. I would definitely miss working with such an wonderful team.
