Sydney Rogers Multimedia Production Projects

Above is a link to my photography blog on Wordpress I kept up with this semester. It was a lot of fun figuring out what to write about in each post. I really learned a lot about photography outside of what I already knew, and I had the chance to share with my classmates some tips and tricks of the trade. I look forward to continuing this blog as I continue with my photography career. I also have a website which describes a little bit more about me and the things I do with photography.

Using Audacity for a podcast wasn't difficult to use, it just wasn't enjoyable to record myself. I feel with some practice and a better script, the podcast area of media could be a potential interest. I'd have to pick up my voice a little to add some variety, but it's really not likely I'll continue on this path.

Above is a group project, and using a totally new video editing program was surprisingly fun. I had a great partner who I could depend on and I also got to practice photography. It was awesome putting all the images together and created a story about a week at Campus House. Putting images to video and music is a lot of fun and I hope to continue to this while learning new ideas.

Using InDesign to create a newsletter was surprisingly fun. Once I got the hang of it, it was satisfying to see how it all came together. I'd have to say it was one of the easier projects this semester despite learning a new program. It wound up helping in later projects because the programs were so similar.

Once I had a plan set and I started to compile my clips together, this was a lot of fun to create. Using Premiere wasn't difficult since I've had practice on other video editing programs, but there were a few cases where I clicked around randomly to figure something out. Overall, I'm really pleased with this video. It makes me laugh each time I watch it.
