• $10,419 was raised through #CopperCountryStrong and donated to the Portage Health Foundation.

• Emily Byrd and Braden Reichl were All-Americans in cross country and the women’s team placed seventh at the NCAA Championships.

• Liz Bloch (800m, 1500m), Braden Reichl (3000m Steeplechase), and Matthew Pahl (10,000m) had All-America performances at the NCAA Championships.

• Olivia Ghormley named an AVCA Third Team All-American and GLIAC Attacker of the Year. Laura DeMarchi was an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American and the GLIAC Setter of the Year.

• Wide receiver Jacob Wenzlick was named a Third Team All-American and Academic All-District.

• Volleyball played in the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season and 10th time in school history.

• Jake Isaacson was named the USTFCCCA Midwest Region Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year.

• Kevin Kalinec was named the GLIAC Women’s Tennis Coach of the Year.

• Matthew Pahl (10,000m), Braden Reichl (3000m steeplechase), and Liz Bloch (1500m) were GLIAC Champions in track and field.

• Women’s Basketball won the GLIAC North Division Title for the 16th time.

• Eight former hockey Huskies were on NHL rosters during the 2018-19 season.

• Elizabeth Kelliher scored 1,000 career points and became the Tech’s record holder for career blocks, while Ellie Mackay was named the GLIAC Freshman of the Year.

• Brian Halonen was named to the WCHA All-Rookie Team after leading the Huskies as well as all WCHA rookies with 12 goals.

• Bryan Heath received the GLIAC Commissioner’s Award, and Dawson Bilski was named to the GLIAC Second Team for men’s basketball.

• Amanda Kautzer was named to Academic All-District in Nordic skiing.

• Jacob Wenzlick and Michael James named to the All-GLIAC First Team and All-Region Team in football.

• Football won the Miner’s Cup for the ninth straight season with a 35-33 win at Northern Michigan.

• Ivona Gorgioski and Jessica Brown were named to the All-GLIAC First Team in women’s tennis.

• Grace Shaw and Rachel Wall were named to the All-GLIAC Second Team in soccer.
