Chapter 3 Aidan rhind p.2

Creative: I chose to put photos in from my family's trip to Tahoe over the thanksgiving break and I thought they turned out really well. It was a fun time as I got to play with my camera in the snow for a bit and also had some really good food as well!
Creative: I chose to edit this image as I feel like it captures the essence of winter the most.
Technical: Michael Kenna
I chose to shoot in the style of Michael Kenna for this chapter, as I really appreciate his quiet approach to photographing landscapes and nature in general. His photos usually consist of an object surrounded by water with a long exposure time to blur the water, as well as in black and white with a pretty strong vignette around the photo. I tried to copy this to the best of my ability, when editing this photo of a dock in Lake Tahoe that I found over thanksgiving break.
Passion Project: I chose to pursue night photography and star trails for my passion project, as I think that light painting and stars are the coolest types of photography and I wanted to learn more about it. An area I need to focus on, is making sure my lens doesn't fog up when during the photo, as it will appear as if its out of focus, which is why the trees are a little blurry in this photo. In the future I plan to use longer exposure times for my photos to get a complete star trail.
