Cutting the Shack in half. Another cut went below the roof is not seen but it goes all the way around the building.
Right before the roof was to be lifted, about twenty pelicans appeared and gave one last show of support. I kid you not!
One flew low above the water to pay his last respects to the Shack.
IGY has added their logo and caption to the sign. This is the marina management company responsible for closing the Shack in August. Then they reneged and closed it much sooner in May. People los thir jobs and bot the City and neighborhood lost an Old Florida Seafood Shack!
Lee Hicks, the manager, also stated during a presentation at Moorings of Maximo Condominium Association, they are planning to open a restaurant on the south area, and this one will have all its licenses. He is incorrect. The Shack was fully licensed.
It was reported Lee Hicks, IGY Marinas was telling people who showed up after the Shack had closed, that the Fire Marshall had closed the Shack. This is false. The Fire Department replied to my Public Records Request that they had not done so.
