  • Masks ~ All students are required to wear a mask upon entering the building. The district provided a cloth mask to every student. Please ensure your child is prepared for school daily with a clean mask. We are entering allergy and flu season and want to keep our students, staff and families healthy. We appreciate your continued support and diligence.

Picture Day is September 4, 2020. Information is provided below in regards to Lifetouch pricing. **GC students enrolled in the virtual school will have their own picture day. More information to come from Mr. Davis.**

PTO News & Mum Sale

PTO Meeting ~ Wednesday, September 2 @ 6:30 P.M.

Bring your lawn chair and join us on our back parking lot (Northside by the playground). We will social distance and discuss upcoming school events. Unfortunately, we cannot hold in-person meetings inside the building at this time. *In the event of inclement weather, we will cancel and reschedule.*

Mum Fundraiser ~ Decorate your porch for fall!

The PTO is having a mum sale. The fundraiser will begin Monday, August 24. Please see the flyer below for more information. All proceeds will go towards activities and materials for our students! This opportunity is open to all!

Kindergarten ~ Hancock County PromisE

Hi Families of 2033 Graduates!!!

As a kindergartener your child has the opportunity to sign up for the Hancock County Promise. The Hancock County Promise GIVES you FREE MONEY for your child!!! Yes, that is correct FREE MONEY for your child!!! I know, you are thinking there is a catch....NO!!! There is NO catch!! If you sign-up, you get a FREE CollegeChoice 529 Direct Account for your child and we will deposit $25 of free money into the account!!! Attached is more information about the Promise. We want 100% of kindergartener's enrolled.

News From The Clinic

Water bottle donations ~ The clinic would appreciate water bottle donations. These are used for students that do not have a reusable bottle during the day. Water fountains remained closed due to COVID guidelines.

COVID 19 Testing Sites:

There are 4 COVID 19 testing sites in Hancock County (Information from the Greenfield Daily Reporter) --

*Indiana National Guard Armory, 410 Apple St., Greenfield

OptumServe Health Services offers free nasal swab testing to anyone. Patients schedule appointments at Ihi.care/covidtesting Test results are typically back within 4-5 days. There are no out-of-pocket expenses for the tests, but if patients have health insurance, it will be billed for the test;

*Hancock Immediate Care, 124 W. Muskegon Drive, Greenfield

*Gateway Immediate Care, 6189 W. John L. Modglin Dr., Greenfield

Nasal swab testing is available at both centers. Patients have to reserve a spot at hancockregionalhospital.org Tests are administered in the patient’s vehicle. Patients with COVID 19 symptoms will get their test results within 1-2 hours, while tests for those without symptoms will get results within 3-5 days. Without insurance, the tests at the immediate care centers cost $150;

*First Care, 1317 N. State St., Greenfield

Referrals are not required for COVID 19 tests at this urgent care center. Patients can schedule appointments at firstcareclinics.com When scheduling online, patients can upload photos of their ID and health insurance card to expedite the check-in process. The clinic is booking out three days in advance due to the high demand for the tests. Walk-ins are also accepted, but are limited to how many they can accept due to the demand. The nasal swab test is administered at the patient’s vehicle and results normally come back in about 15 minutes. Base cost for the test is about $140. For those without health insurance, the clinic can help patients apply for assistance through the Health Resources and Services Administration.
