VARSITY GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY EPISCOPAL COLLEGIATE

We are a community who enjoys one another’s company, we support each other, find a place to belong and goals to achieve, and all the while we get fit and learn about how to make exercise part of a physically and emotionally healthy lifestyle.

We practice early in the mornings during the week, and on Saturdays throughout the autumn we race across fields as fast as we can run.

We all have a really good time on the Cross Country running team!

What would the girls say they remember best about their Cross Country experience? I’m sure that depends, but near the top of everyone’s list must be the comradery of the overnight trips to run in one of the largest running events in the state, the Chile Pepper race up to Fayetteville, AR, where hundreds gather to race each fall. The excitement of a road trip, the independence of staying at a retreat with your team, and a cool fall morning in Northwest Arkansas. Good times, for sure!
