Year 2 Art

On Wednesday, Year 2.1 explored the element of colour during art. We looked at different seasons and associated different colours with each one. We then drew a template of a tree and filled it with crepe paper, using the colours of our chosen season. We are so proud of the work we created!

Year 8 Science IQ Competition

This term, two teams of Year 8 students competed in the Science IQ Competition which was run by the Science Teachers Association of Western Australia and was offered to both National and International Schools.

The competition was based on-line and required the teams of students to answer a set of 12 Science questions within a one-hour period.

Students used their outstanding group work skills to allocate roles to each of the members of the team. Most of the questions required students to research new concepts within the allocated time period. The goal was to complete the test correctly in the shortest period of time.

This term BOTH of our teams placed in the competition. Congratulations Toni Grolman, Daniel Tucker, Aaron Drizen, Jacob Range for coming in SECOND PLACE and Maia Hilu, Santino Febbo, Asher Altschuler, Tal Shmuel for coming in THIRD PLACE in the Year 8 Science IQ Competition for 2016!

Thank you to all of the students that competed this year. We look forward to entering the competition again in 2017!
