2016 Christmas in the Smokies

December 23rd and 24th - hung around the house playing games, sleeping and other exciting stuff. Rained today so no outdoor activities.

All had arrived by Friday evening. First time visitors had to get the lay of the land.

"I think I like this place. It even comes with toys!"

If they had a pitchfork, Norman Rockwell could capture them in a painting and make them famous.

Sunday, after worship in Seymour (Kings Branch church relocated) we took family photos and then opened gifts.

On Monday we were able to get out (no rain). This crew "humored" Granddaddy and joined in a hike to Ramsey Cascades. Unfortunately about 1/2 there bad weather had taken out the bridge and getting across risked getting feet wet and some didn't have shoes to handle the water (where is Daniel Boone when you need him?).

Several others went shopping (see later pictures).

Wednesday we got a beautiful, sunny day to take another hike with this crew. This day we hiked to Husky Branch Falls on the Little River trail off of Elkmont campground.

Happy New Year to All and to All a Good Night.
