D-Day By : Joey firme

Higgins boats crowded with soldiers.

Nearly 40 men on each

Men who know the are going to die

When they storm the beach

The boat hits the sand

With a thundering crash

Men try to get off

Lives are lost in a flash

The Germans show no mercy

To the men upon their shores

The nazis on the cliff kill as easily

As the closing of a door

But a few tenacious soldiers

Shoot the villains down

The Americans start to feel hopeful

The battle is turning around

Thousands lost their lives that day

On the Normandy shore

Heroes who gave up all they held dear

To help us win the war
