Fire and Ice By:Austin Helms

Some say the world will end in fire

Some say in ice

From what I've taste of desire

I hold with those who favor fire

But if it had to perish twice

I think I know enough of hate

To say that for destruction ice

Is also great

And would suffice

The narrator says that both fire and ice could destroy the world. The fact that he had a personal experience with both in a form of desire and hate. Fire and ice are similar in there own way.

The theme is hate and desire can cause destruction.

Fire is desire and ice is hate.
