No. 6 Ohio State 77, Bowling Green 10 buckeyes offense has record day in season-opening romp

Ohio State scored 10 offensive touchdowns and rolled up a school record 776 yards in beating Bowling Green Saturday, but was it enough to impress coach Urban Meyer? Maybe not yet.

FIRST quarter

K.J. Hill scored the first Ohio State touchdown of the year on a 45-yard pass from J.T. Barrett to spark a run of 21 unanswered points from the Buckeyes' offense.

second quarter

J.T. Barrett's fourth touchdown pass of the day, a 25-yard strike to Noah Brown, gave the Buckeyes a 28-10 lead. Ohio State would head to the locker room up 35-10.

THIRD QUARTER

Curtis Samuel stole the show in the third quarter with his second and third scores of the afternoon. Ohio State headed to the fourth quarter with a 56-10 advantage.

Freshman running back DeMario McCall put the finishing touches on the game with the first two touchdowns of his young career.
