HUNT OF THE MONTH at Pendleton Public Library
NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH
We were so honored to have the drummers and dancers from the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation come and share with us their culture and talents. We also got to watch as a few of our PELC students danced. Thanks to everyone for sharing with us! What a very special event to celebrate Native American Month. In addition, we enjoyed a visit from the students in the drama class at Nixyaawii Community School. They shared three short plays which highlighted positive messages by using traditional Tribal Stories.
