Creative Minds Winter edition

Welcome to Creative Minds!

Creative Minds is a seasonal magazine published and put together by the executives at Artspression. The purpose of this magazine is to showcase writing, photography, artwork, music, film etc. by youth in our communities. For this edition, we asked you to capture the essence of winter in whichever medium you preferred. Please check out our past editions (links below) to get a glimpse of why we created Artspression and what Creative Minds is all about. If you would like to see your work featured in our next edition, read the information at the end of this one!

The images are painted with acrylic paint, with the inspiration from Norwegian landscapes, such as the forest and the mountains.

I am a small dot in the night sky, guided by the city lights that blaze through an endless darkness. I never noticed them during the other seasons. I am tired, stressed and anxious, but as I walk down this long path, I notice myself drifting away from my past worries, and into the present moment. Like the infinite arrangement of lights, winter nights are limitless and anything can happen.

These are sketches that were done during a winter ride on a train (Ural mountains area, Russia) or were inspired by that ride.
