Contemporary Greek cookery makes wide use of vegetables, olive oil, grains, fish, wine, and meat (white and red, including lamb, poultry, rabbit and pork). Other important ingredients include olives, cheese, eggplant (aubergine), zucchini (courgette), lemon juice, vegetables, herbs, bread and yoghurt. The most commonly used grain is wheat; barley is also used. Common dessert include nuts, honey,and fruit

Greek cuisine has a culinary tradition of some 4,000 years and is a part of the history and the culture of Greece. Its flavors change with the season and its geography. historically a forerunner of Western cuisine, spread its culinary influence to ancient Rome and throughout Europe and beyond.

People in greece grow a lot of their own food and they also use a lot of olive oil because it is a vary common tree.

Greece is in a blue zone which means that it is a place where people live longer then the world wide average
