What's for Dinner? Take-out! Support Your Local Laguna Beach Restaurants!

The State of California has prohibited on-site dining for all restaurants.

Now, more than ever, our Laguna Beach restaurants need your support to get through the Stay at Home Order until outdoor dining can resume.

The guys at La Sirena Grill prepare some hefty takeout orders Tuesday night. Don't forget the chips & salsa!

We ask our community to rally and help support our incredible restaurant community in any way possible, as most of Laguna Beach is made up of small businesses struggling to survive this 10-month-plus pandemic.

Ethan Vinograd, a server at O Fine Japanese, prepares an order of Crunch Red Dragon, Baked Lobster and Jalapeño Sashimi for takeout this week.

Order take-out a few times a week, tip well, purchase gift cards for your loved ones during the holiday season, and, if you can, please avoid third-party delivery (i.e. GrubHub/Doordash), so these restaurants can keep more of their profits and employees!

Mayor Pro Tem Sue Kempf (right) and the Laguna Beach Greeter, Michael Minutoli, send the right message to the Laguna Beach community!

Let's Rally! We Can Do This Laguna Beach!

Help Our Laguna Beach Businesses by Shopping Local This Year

This year, "Buy Local" and "Shop Small" are more than just holiday marketing slogans.

Supporting local stores, restaurants and services right now will make a huge difference for so many local businesses- from clothing stores, art galleries, restaurants, cafes, decor & retail shops and hardware stores.

Areo Home is located on Ocean Avenue.

Now is a critical time for the community to join together in a true effort to support our local businesses and rebuild the local economy. You're not only putting money back into the community, you're supporting local business owners, families, friends and neighbors that make up the fabric of Laguna Beach.

The Laguna Beach Ace Hardware is an essential service and has remained open for the entire pandemic. They have a large selection of housewares, gifts, kitchen items and decor.

Don't need a gift or something to buy right now? What about a gift card?! Gift cards help put money directly into the pockets of our local businesses and restaurants, without services immediately rendered.

Mayor Whalen Asks You to Show Your Community Support

In today's podcast update, Laguna Beach Mayor Bob Whalen addresses Laguna’s collective attempts to help support local businesses and restaurants, and the many ways to do it.

Laguna Beach City Hall will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Essential Services will be provided.

3 Ways to Avoid COVID-19 Vaccine Scams

Sadly, COVID-19 Vaccine Scams are happening. While vaccination details are getting worked out, here's what you can be sure of:

1. You can't pay to put your name on a list to get a vaccine. That's a scam.

2. You can't pay to get early access to the vaccine. That's a scam.

3. Nobody legit will call about the vaccine and ask you for your social security number, bank account number or credit card number. That's a scam.
