School district audit shows nothing amiss

A routine state audit of the Citrus County School District showed no abnormalities.

The Auditor General’s report covering July 1, 2015, through June 30, 2016, covered internal controls and district’s compliance with federal programs.

“Our audit did not identify any deficiencies in internal control over financial reporting that we consider to be material weaknesses,” the summary reads. “The results of our tests disclosed no instances of noncompliance or other matters that are required to be reported under Government Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States.”
