Systemwide Contracts

The Foundation, through its CollegeBuys program, secures agreements on behalf of the California Community Colleges, pooling our system’s aggregate buying power for cost savings and best value opportunities. CollegeBuys accomplishes this by working closely with its Advisory Committee and the system in determining contracting opportunities and priorities. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, CollegeBuys began entering into health services agreements to provide much needed and affordable contract options.

Scientific and Healthcare Equipment

Laerdal - offers products, services, and solutions that help improve patient outcomes. As well as solutions in the areas of nursing and patient care, obstetrics and pediatrics, emergency care and trauma, and resuscitation training. Agreement is in accordance with CA Public Contract Code 20661 and Education Code 72670.5. (Contract)

  • Simulators, Manikins, Task Trainers, & Accessories
  • Learning Courses and Simulation Scenarios
  • Software and Debriefing Solutions
  • Educational and Technical Services

Olympus - provides high performance medical devices, microscopes, imaging technology, and accessories. Their Life Sciences Division offers this technology for the laboratory, education, and research. Agreement is in accordance with CA Public Contract Code 20661 and Education Code 72670.5. (Contract)

Telehealth

Care Solace - Provides multi-lingual 24/7 mental health concierge service to connect students and families to mental health resources and providers. Agreement is in accordance with CA Public Contract Code 20661 and Education Code 72670.5. (Contract)

Highlights of the agreement also include:

  • Pricing is $2.75 per enrolled student per year
  • No additional fees for students
  • Access to their full web platform that contains over 90,000 verified resources
  • Students who have insurance will be matched with providers that accept that insurance
  • Students that have no insurance will be matched with services that accept no insurance or offer sliding scale services that could range between $25-$60 for a full mental treatment plan

TimelyMD - Provides on-demand medical and mental health services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. TimelyMD's campus-wide solution gives students one point of contact--anytime, anywhere--to get quality care and immediate treatment for medical or mental health concerns from board certified physicians and licensed counselors. . Agreement is in accordance with CA Public Contract Code 20661 and Education Code 72670.5. (Contract)

Highlights of the agreement also include:

  • Pricing is $2.75 per enrolled student per year
  • Pricing as low as $13.75 per student per year for unlimited telehealth visits and unlimited psych counseling 24/7/365.
  • No co-pay for students
  • HIPAA, FERPA and Section 508 compliant
  • Less than 30 days to deploy on campus

Contact Tracing & Health Assessment

Modo Labs - Provides a cloud-based Mobile-First Student and Campus Engagement Platform, which includes a separately available Covid Health Status Module to collect and manage health (contact) tracking. Agreement is in accordance with CA Public Contract Code 20661 and Education Code 72670.5. (Contract)

NxtGen Technologies (trase.app) - Provides COVID-19 employee tracing and logging solutions for colleges to specifically address AB 685 and SB 1159. Agreement is in accordance with CA Public Contract Code 20661 and Education Code 72670.5. (Contract)

OptimumHQ - Provides a cloud-based Health Status Portal to collect and manage health (contact) tracking. Employees, students, and visitors can submit daily health forms and receive digital badges on their smartphones for visual verification at any point-of-entry. Using QR codes for location tracking, we enable you to know who has been in your buildings, rooms, campuses, parking lots, etc. by date and time-of-day. Agreement is in accordance with CA Public Contract Code 20661 and Education Code 72670.5. (Contract)

COVID-19 Testing

The vendors listed below provide COVID-19 testing products and services. Each contract is in accordance with CA Public Contract Code 20661 and Education Code 72670.5.

Biocept - a leading provider of molecular diagnostic tests and services is leveraging its molecular testing capabilities to help support public health efforts during this unprecedented pandemic. Biocept offers nationwide the ThermoFisher FDA-EUA approved COVID-19 Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) testing through our CLIA-certified/CAP accredited San Diego laboratory. The test detects the presence of SARS-CoV-2 and is for use with patients who meet current guidance for evaluation of infection with COVID-19. (Contract)

Medline - is a distributor of more than 560,000 products and clinical solutions that serve the entire continuum of care, of which over 150,000 are Medline manufactured. Medline can provide all supplies used within Student Health, Athletics, Schools of Nursing, EVS and Labs. This includes a wide range of COVID-19 related products including testing kits. (Contract)

Virus Geeks - a California based, BioHealth Technology company that provides end-to-end, on-site or self-managed Molecular PCR COVID-19 testing with a 24-hour turn-around time & Antigen rapid testing. Multi-language customer service; scheduling, resulting, reporting, database, analytics; non-invasive specimen collection; insurance reimbursement (billing) are included. (Contract)
