Black Mountain Honor Society for 5th & 6th Grade Students

Black Mountain Honor Society is a BMES club focused on leadership and character through service projects. Before any student can be accepted into this club, they must earn valuable service hours, show great character, and keep good school attendance and grades. While BMES kids are given opportunities to participate through school, most BMES students find it necessary and enjoyable to volunteer through other organizations. Students in grades 5-12 can also work towards completing the Superintendent’s Challenge. More info to come.

Please watch this video to know how to pick up your child at the end of the day.
Drive Up Tips

# 1 Driving Tip of All Time:

The rest of the driving tips:

If you’ve been near the Black Mountain parking lot between 3:00 - 4:00 PM, you know it is a busy place! Orderly pick up and drop off routines are essential to student safety. Below are some tips to help you navigate the parking lot successfully:

Arrive at 3:40 PM. No traffic can move until students are dismissed at 3:30 then it takes students time to get to the pick up points. Arrive at 3:40 prevents unnecessary backups. If you plan on walking up to pick up your child, please arrive at BMES around 3:20 so you do not get stuck in the drive up line.

Car rider signs are available for parents utilizing drive up. You may pick up a car rider sign from the front office or request one from your child’s teacher. Simply write the last name of your child on the car rider sign and hang it in your car during pick up. Please be mindful of window tinting as this can make signs impossible to read. The duty staff will see the name and be able to call your children to your car more quickly.

Your donation in any amount is always appreciated.
