Macbeth: "what he hath lost, noble Macbeth hath won" 1.2.66 Ex:Macbeth does right by his king and fights for him, and wins the name for thane of Cawdor.

Lady Macbeth:"what cannot you and i preform upon th' unguarded Duncan, what not put upon his spongy officers, who shall bear the guilt of our great quell?" 1.7.69-72 Ex: She tells Macbeth that together they can kill Duncan, and be able to blame the murder on Duncan's guards.

Macbeth:"is this a dagger which i see before me, the handle towards my hand? come let me clutch thee." 2.1.33 Ex: He is imagining the dagger to kill King Duncan. So he can become king himself.

Lady Macbeth:"a foolish thought, to say a sorry sight" 2.2.21 Ex: She thinks its foolish of Macbeth to be so unmanly at the sight of the blood shed he caused to be king because the blood/guilt can be washed away.

Macbeth:"i require a clearness and with him to leave no rubs nor botches in the work. Fleance his son, that keeps him company, whose less material to me than is his father's, must embrace the fate of that dark hour." 3.1.133 Ex: He is planning to kill his best friend and his son because he sees them both as a threat.

Lady Macbeth:"Nought's had, all spent, where our desire is got without content; tis safer to be that which we destroy than by destruction dwell in doubtful joy." 3.2.4-7 Ex: She thinks its better to destroy the competition then to enjoy the friendship they had with Banquo.

Macbeth:"The castle of Macduff i will surprise seize upon fife, give to th' edge o' th' sword. His wife, his babes, and all unfortunate souls that trace him in his line." 4.1.150 Ex: He plans to kill Macduff's whole family since he cant kill Macduff himself because he fled to England.

Lady Macbeth:"Be innocent of knowledge, dearest chuck, til thou applaud the deed." 3.2.45-46 Ex: This is Macbeth keeping the killing of Banquo a secret from Lady Macbeth til the deed has been done.

Macbeth:"Tell thee, Macduff was from his mothers womb untimely ripped." 5.8.15 Ex: Macbeth finds the one man that can kill him, that the witches prophesied would be able to.

Lady Macbeth:"Heres the smell of the blood still, all the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand. oh oh oh." 5.1.43-44 Ex: Guilt starts to eat at Lady Macbeth, making her sleep walk and have terrible nightmares about all the murders.
