In addition to farming, several Littleton citizens also raised livestock and horses, including the Bowles family. Here, Edward V. Bowles, son of Joseph W. Bowles, holds "Steamboat" at the old Arapahoe County Fair Grounds, which was located near West Bowles Avenue. Famous for bucking, it was said that Steamboat was never ridden.
