Black Student Unions Creating a Community and a voice

A Black Student Union at Liberty University will create a space where black students can grow intellectually, culturally, and socially in an environment of peers alike to themselves.

A Black Student Union is not meant to separate black students from others, but give them a sense of comfort and a place where they can be themselves.

Having a Black Student Union allows students to feel more encouraged to rally together, and start movements that can bring about change.
Students are encouraged to stand in protest for things they are passionate about.

Many students may feel inspired to take part in social and political issues affecting the black community, if there were a space provided specifically for that purpose.

A Black Student Union is a place that black students can call home for the next four years, and to build relationships, memories and create lasting impressions within the university, among peers of similar backgrounds and life experiences .

THE CREATION OF A BLACK STUDENT UNION FOR THE BLACK COMMUNITY IS IMPORTANT TO HELP BLACK STUDENTS FIND HIS OR HERSELF, AS WELL AS FIND THEIR VOICE, THROUGHOUT THEIR TIME AT LIBERTY UNIVERSITY.
