Fresh Academicz Summer Academy will be led by owner Peter Arizmendi. A native of New York City and professional hip hop dancer, this academy will be a great experience for your student. Students ages 7-14 are welcome to register for this academy.

We are located at 60 W Washington Street in downtown Hagerstown, MD. A perfect location within walking distance of many of Hagerstown's great tourist attractions.

Peter has spent the majority of his life performing or training dancers. At this summer academy, students will have the opportunity to learn from an expert in the hip hop dance style of popping. He will also be teaching breakdance and other elements of hip hop. Peter recently directed and wrote a film titled The Ruwach. Students will also have the opportunity to practice screenwriting and improv skills.

We are excited that University Plaza is our neighbor! Students will have the opportunity to be outside and learn street games that Peter grew up playing on the streets in the lower East Side of NYC.

The main campus of the Washington County Free Library is located one block away from Fresh Academicz studio. Students can expect to read for at least 20 minutes everyday at camp. We will walk to the library to check-out books at the beginning of the week and return them at the end of each week.

We are within a 10 minute walk of Hagerstown City Park. Depending on the weather, students can expect to walk to the park at least once a week for street games and city exploration.

The Mural of Unusual Size is just a few blocks away from Fresh Academicz studio. Students will enjoy walking on the cultural trail and dancing in front of the colorful mural.
