Today begins the first day of the new year. Each day is full of blessings. This is my attempt to capture a few of the things that bring me great gratitude each day!
Gratitude Day 1: January 1, 2017: Sending our wishes for the new year on "Flying Wish Paper."
Gratitude Day 2: January 2, 2017: Taking steps toward continued mind, body, and spirit health. First meeting with Dr. Melissa Laborsky.
Gratitude Day 3: January 3, 2017: Chester kept me company while I began the long process of "putting away Christmas."
Gratitude Day 4: January 4, 2017: First day back after vacation. INCREDIBLE GRATITUDE for my Piñon Coffee!
Gratitude Day 5: January 5, 2017: While this is not an original picture, it perfectly captures a moment I experienced today! It was a beautiful snowy day. As I walked across the campus I encountered a group of SK students walking to PE. The sight of the falling snow delighted them and they did what one would naturally do when encountering falling snow.... stuck out their tongue to catch the flakes! They jumped and laughed an opened their mouths and I found myself wanting to do the same. (OK, so maybe I did.) I am grateful for being in an environment that reminds me of the joy in the simplest of moments.
Gratitude Day 6: January 6, 2017: Today one of the second grade classes surprised me with birthday cards. SO GRATEFUL to work in a school where kindness exists in its purest forms!
Gratitude Day 7: January 7, 2017: Every great birthday starts with a visit to church (St. Joseph's Brewery) and concludes with dancing at Tini!
Gratitude Day 8: January 8, 2017: Cozy birthday dinner at 8535 Olde Mill!
Gratitude Day 9: January 9, 2017: There are signs everywhere! (Now if someone could only remind the president elect...)
Gratitude Day 10: January 10, 2017: Note the temperature! Wow!
Gratitude Day 11: January 11, 2017: Ahhh...beautiful sunrises make morning duty so much more bearable!
Gratitude Day 12: January 12, 2017: Totally staged photo...but MY how I am SO grateful to work with Leeta. Everyday is better because of her!
Gratitude Day 13: January 13, 2017: This picture does not capture the beauty of the moon this morning! It was a foggy, overcast morning and yet the moon cast an enormous glow over the dark campus. It's proximity to the horizon made it look and feel immense!
Gratitude Day 14: January 14, 2017: Don't judge. I just now took down the big Christmas tree. It is a massive undertaking and last weekend was my birthday, and well I just kind of enjoy having it around...blah, blah, blah! Today I am feeling grateful the task is completed and that, despite missing my beautiful holiday decorations, the house still feels cozy with family. Tonight all 5 of us stayed home and watched the movie the Interns.
Gratitude Day 15: January 15, 2017: Buddah loves the pink sunrise view from the kitchen window...Buddah, sunrise, coffee, lazy Sunday mornings. Happy and feeling incredibly grateful.
Gratitude Day 16: January 16, 2017: La La Land with Charlie, Aidan, Mom and Jon.
Gratitude Day 17: January 17:2017: I am grateful for my brothers and sister....today feeling great gratitude for George. Happy Birthday, George!
Gratitude Day 18: January 18:2017: Had the delightful opportunity to listen to a three year old read Go, Dog, Go!
Gratitude Day 19: January 19, 2017: Found this gem in my desk drawer. Feeling grateful for the friendship of the entire Murphy clan.
Gratitude Day 20: January 20, 2017: Lunch out with these lovely ladies. They say humor is the highest form of intelligence. Incredibly grateful to be in the company of these beautiful geniuses!
Gratitude Day 21: January 21:2017: Date night at the location of our first date!
Gratitude Day 22: January 22:2017: Sunday meeting on the couch...curled up with books and these two.
Gratitude Day 24, January 24, 2017: My favorite way to pass the winter evenings...cheering Char on at his bball games!
Gratitude Day 25, January 25, 2017: Admiring the gorgeous color green Kale turns as it begins to warm on the stove.
Gratitude Day 26, January 26, 2017: Aidan and Meghan arguing over armadillo sightings in Indiana. I just love my evenings with Aidan, Meg and Char. NEVER a dull moment and I would have it no other way!
Gratitude Day 28, January 28, 2017: Dinner with Kristen & Curt at District Tap!
Gratitude Day 29, January 29, 2017: Sunday night Spaghetti and Meatball dinner with kids, Fred, Feryl, Mom and Jon!
Gratitude Day 30, January 30, 2017: You know what this is? It is the sun. And we haven't seen it in weeks! INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL for some sun!
Gratitude Day 31, January 31, 2017: Second to last game for Charlie's 8th grade season. BIG win over Sycamore...silenced coaches wife who had an even BIGGER mouth.
Gratitude Day 32, February 1, 2017: Grateful for every day with these two, however this morning was especially wonderful. Charlie shared his watch AND cologne with Aidan and our day was off to a peaceful, happy start!
Gratitude Day 33, February 2, 2017: Someone put an offer on Fred's house yesterday and he accepted! HOORAY!!
Gratitude Day 34, February 3, 2017: Seems like a silly thing to be grateful for--a TV show--HOWEVER, it is a great show and I am so grateful for nights like last night. Friday night, couch, Charlie and Fred and two taped episodes of This is Us.
Gratitude Day 35, February 4, 2017: Booked Kiawah house today. Took a year off and the whole year felt off. MUST HAVE KIAWAH IN JUNE.
Gratitude Day 36, February 5, 2017: This guy. SO grateful. He worked two hours on the basement, showered, took me to dinner, and then drove an hour to pick up Aidan from a Super Bowl party.
Gratitude Day 37, February 6, 2017: The entire school is reading this Masterpiece this month. Grateful for a story that appeals to 5 year olds AND 11 year olds (and 46 year olds!)
Gratitude Day 38, February 7, 2017: Every day grateful for this incredible woman. Today she took the boys to their hair appointment afterschool. Every day...available to Uber the boys around and provide love and support we need!
Gratitude Day 39, February 8, 2017: Aidan drives to school most days now. I am so grateful that with every passing day he has grown in confidence and skill. What you can't know from this picture is something that brings me great joy every morning. Aidan, Charlie, and I each pick one song and then pair our phones to the car and play it...loudly. Sometimes we choose a theme...happiest song, global theme, my-song-is-better-than-yours....other times we just choose. (BTW---my songs are always better than theirs.) ;)
Gratitude Day 40, February 9, 2017: May seem like a strange thing to be grateful for but today--after a VERY long break--I returned to my BodyPump class at the JCC. I'm grateful because Meghan and Aidan joined me!
Gratitude Day 41, February 10, 2017: Shared my gratitude site with this wonderful young lady. I have "challenged" her to find things all day that make her happy and feel grateful!
Gratitude Day 42, February 11, 2017: GORGEOUS day today. Fred and I went to Broad Ripple and walked around. This FABULOUS creation (bird not Aidan) was waiting for us to snatch him up and bring him home! His name is Stan and I think he is wonderful.
Gratitude Day 43, February 12, 2017: So grateful for Costco seasoned Pork Tenderloin. Makes for the easiest Sunday dinner with Mom and Jon. More time to enjoy the company and less time cooking!
Gratitude Day 44, February 13, 2017: This cracked me up. Bulletin Board in first grade classroom...what can you say to someone to make them smile?
Gratitude Day 45, February 14, 2017: Two dozen long stem roses from my sweetie. A very Happy Valentine's Day indeed!
