Che Guevara That ARGENTINEAN guy on t-shirts

Che was important because he was the main Guerrilla fighter commander during the revolutions in the 1960's. He sparked revolution with Fidel Castro and was one of Castro's friends. He was a strong believer in a socialist government. He had fought for many revolutions in South America and wrote a book called "Guerrilla Warfare" and was later published as the textbook for tactics of revolution.

In the themes of world history, he tied well into the Revolution theme, and the Power and Authority. He fits into revolution because he was a revolutionary leader and an inspiration to other south Americans. He fits into the other because he was a semi-dictator and he was fighting for a socialist government.

The Color red stands for his belief in socialism

A quote from Che that caught me the most was, "We can not be sure of having something to live for unless we are willing to die for it." -Che Guevara. This quote shows that he is someone who is very straight forward, not sympathetic, and knows what is worth trying and what is not. Another interesting quote was "Whenever death may surprise us, let it be welcome if our battle cry has reached even one receptive ear and anotherhand reaches out to take up our arms."-Che Guevara
