Just one of the Guys Marc Okes joins the Santa Fe College Saints Baseball team

Marc Okes ran to the dugout to find batting gloves before stepping into the cage to take a few swings. After a handful of line drives and pop flies, Okes received high-fives and pats on the back from members of the Santa Fe College baseball team.

Marc keeps his eyes on the ball while taking a swing in the cage during batting practice.

Marc, 12, was diagnosed with brain cancer three years ago and also has Neurofibromatosis which causes tumors to grow in different parts of the body. The Friends of Jacklyn Foundation connects kids with cancer with sports teams all around the country. They contacted head coach Johnny Wiggs about having Okes hang out with the team. Marc got hooked up with autographed posters, balls, shirts, hats as well as a game jersey from the players.

The team gave Marc plenty of fist-bumps and he got a photo with head coach Johnny Wiggs.

The team welcomed Marc as one of their own.
Who better to get hitting advice from than Coach Wiggs? After his time in the batting cage, Marc picked up a few pointers from coach.

Marc was able to throw out the first pitch before the Saints faced Lake-Sumter.
