Mrs. Ward - A-1

Happy New Year to all our A-1 Dragonfly families!

First Grade!

Happy New Year! We are happy to be back with our fab firsties! Now that we are almost half-way through the year, we are focusing on independence. All first graders should be able to navigate Google Classroom, go through their assignments, join meets, and turn in work on their own. Please check in with your first grader, though. Is he/she turning in work each day? Is he/she on meets when they are scheduled? Are toys off-screen and out of hands? As always, thank you for all you do! We appreciate you!

Third Grade

Happy New Year to our 3rd Grade Families! We began Math Unit 4 this week and we’re measuring to the nearest ½ inch and ¼ inch. This is a difficult concept for children, so if you can provide some measurement opportunities at home, that would be great. Reminder to practice your 2s, 5s, 10s and ‘doubles’ multiplication facts. We’re nearing the end of our Social Studies exploration of Native Americans and we look forward to exploring Science in the 3rd and 4th marking periods.
