Rome March 2013

Rome is March is actually pretty brisk. Technically still winter, one would still expect the Mediterranean to be warmer. Despite all of that, the city has a warmth that is uncharacteristic of big cities.

Rome is know for it's fountains and the fact that you can drink the tap water. The fountains are like no where else in the world. Piazza Navona is a great place to have a cappuccino and people watch, while Fontana di Trevi is a great place to make a wish and throw a coin.

The Spanish Steps are a classic meeting point. At any given moment of the day, hundreds of people meet and congregate on these famous steps.

The dome of the Pantheon was the most advanced architectural feat of it's time and has survived almost 2000 years. It's the definition of perfection.

The Roman Forum and the Coliseum are the heart of the city and, arguably, the modern world. The influence of these structures on the world is monumental, literally and figuritively.

The Tiber River that winds through Rome creates amazing views at any given moment of the day. The monuments and bridges cast stunning mirror images that confirm that you are in the perfect place.
