Aim: How does science effect our daily lives?

DO NOW: WATCH THE VIDEO AND JOT DOWN SOME NOTES ABOUT WHAT SCIENCE IS.

will be collected after the video

stop and jot

Based on the video you have watched what were some observations you can make?

Notes

THE INTELLECTUAL AND PRACTICAL ACTIVITY ENCOMPASSING THE SYSTEMATIC STUDY OF THE STRUCTURE AND BEHAVIOR OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL WORLD THROUGH OBSERVATION AND EXPERIMENT.

SCIENCE IS BOTH A BODY OF KNOWLEDGE AND A PROCESS

A WAY OF DISCOVERING WHAT'S IN THE UNIVERSE AND HOW THOSE THINGS WORK TODAY, HOW THEY WORKED IN THE PAST, AND HOW THEY ARE LIKELY TO WORK IN THE FUTURE.

CAN BE USED TO DEVELOP NEW TECHNOLOGIES, TREAT DISEASES, AND DEAL WITH MANY OTHER SORTS OF PROBLEMS.

what can you observe in this picture? What happens if we move the magnify to 100x?
Why do you think they are injecting the tomato?
Why is it important to date what you experiment?

Part 1

My lesson plan is about science. The grade i would teach this lesson is maybe 2nd graders. How I would make sure everyone's needs were met in the classroom is by asking if everyone understands and if they don't to tell me what part or what they don't understand. If the whole class does not understand then I would take another day to review what they couldn't understand. I would go around the classroom individual to individual to ask them personally if they understand. To keep my students engaged I put a movie about science or play a short film to watch or play an interesting game.
