KathyNewsomePhotography Weddings Shooting your love story

Hello Beautiful

Your wedding day is one of the most exciting days of your life. I know you have dreamed about this day for years, and then spent months planning every detail. You have picked out the perfect dress, chosen gorgeous floral arrangements, and you have found a delicious cake. But at the end of the day, the dress will be put away, the flowers will wilt and the cake will be gone. The one thing that will remain are the memories.

Cue.... ME!

As your photographer, my job is to make sure all those details you spent months planning, are captured for a lifetime. I provide you with images that you and your loved ones will look back on for years to come, reliving each and every amazing moment of your day.

True Love Stories Never Have Endings

Love is in the Details

The details are what makes your wedding different than anyone else. They define who you are as a couple, the things you love, the little items that make your day special. I'm here to not only capture the big things but to see the little things that you have spent countless hours planning, they don't go unnoticed to me and I want to capture your whole story... the big moments and the Love intertwined in the details.

  • Q. Should my fiance and I do a first look?
  • A. I love first looks, but I also appreciate tradition, so choosing to do a first look is something you and your fiance should discuss together. First Looks are a great way to have that special moment of seeing each other for the first time without all your friends and family watching. You get a few moments alone to take it all in before the craziness of the day begins.
  • Q. How long will it take to get my images back?
  • A. Typical editing time is 4-6 weeks. I do my best not to make you wait too long since I know waiting is the hardest part. I also post a few of my favorite images to social media within a few days of your wedding.
  • Q. My friend/uncle/cousin has a nice camera and wants to take pictures too, is that ok?
  • A. I fully support your friends and family wanting to take photos of your big day, however I do ask that they refrain from interfering with the images I am trying to capture. You are paying me to capture all aspects of your day, and it's hard for me to do that when there are other cameras in the way. Have you considered an unplugged wedding?
  • Q. What is an unplugged wedding?
  • A. These days everyone has a camera or smart phone and wants to capture every moment of your big day, so much so that they can sometimes forget the real reason they are there....to celebrate your love. Asking your guests to put away their cameras and phone for the ceremony allows them to be present in the moment, and allows me to capture the moments without any interference. They can snap away all they want during the reception!
  • Q. Do I have to pay the full amount up front?
  • A. No, I require a $100 deposit to hold your wedding date. After that you can choose how you would like to pay the balance. You can split it up into payments or pay it all at once prior to your wedding day.
  • Q. Do I get the digital files?
  • A. Yes, you will receive an online gallery with all the edited images that you can share with family and friends. You will also receive a digital copy of all the edited images on a USB. You are free to print your images or post to social media.
