SAVE THE EVIDENCE CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS

SAVE THE EVIDENCE began as a project to repair, refurbish, and preserve the former Mohawk Institute Residential School as an interpreted historic site.

THE PROJECT aims to raise $14 Million over three phases for complete upgrades, remediation, the development of interpretive objects and exhibit spaces, and preparation of the site for opening

To date, we have raised $7,831,000.00, plus amounts pledged for the next fiscal year.

PHASE ONE: Repair of roof; installation of pillars + three-tier porch; installation of 10 out of 200+ windows.

PHASE TWO: Heating, ventilation, cooling; Electrical; Plumbing; Remediation; Rear roof repair; Architectural Repairs; Windows

Phase Three: Interpretation; Exhibit Planning; Creation of Interpretive Properties; Program Planning; Development of Educational Materials
