3rd quarter due dates

Remember to earn your 3rd quarter you must perform your part from memory in front of a Director. Here are some upcoming due dates

  • Game 1: Fight Song/ Alma Mater
  • Game 2: Arabian Nights
  • Game 3: Star Spangled Banner & Moana
  • Game 4: Pirates of the Caribbean
  • Game 5: Dude Looks Like a Lady
  • Game 6: Dream on
  • Game 7: Walk this Way
  • and more to come

Why are we do earn our 3rd quarter?

We have over 100 people in band. We need to make sure every member knows their part and is equally contributing to this band. Sometimes students fake play and are not participating in the overall sound of the ensemble. This is completely unacceptable. Student are required to perform each piece in front of a Director from memory. By ensuring that every student is properly contributing, our ensemble will only sound better than before. This is what we want. We must raise the expectations.

Check out our AMAZING website!

Our website has gone through some MAJOR upgrades! Check it often!

Unfortunately in order to be a part of this Marching Band, there are some fees that must be paid. Click HERE to see what fees are needed through the Band Boosters, and there is also an $85.00 pay to participate fee which can be paid through the main office at the HS

Woodwinds and REEDS

New this year, reeds will no longer be available for purchase through the Band office. You can purchase them through Amazing Smile, or give Rettig Music a call!

Woodwind musicians are required to have 4 working reeds at all times. Imagine reeds are like tires on a car. If you get a flat, would you really keep driving on it for another 1,000 miles? The same is true with reeds. If they are wavy, cracked, or chipped you need to replace it immediately.

Why 4 working reeds?

With the day to day weather and other factors, it is suggested to have 4 reeds (and you should either date, or letter them...or both!). Why? on some days reed "A" may not work or sound as good as reed "B". Then the next day reed "A" works great again. This happens with woodwinds. You always have options to create your best sound.

Parents! Also don't forget that we have a monthly Booster meeting! It's on the First Thursday of every month! Check the CHARMS CALENDAR for details! We would love for you to join us!
