Congratulations to the Smith Quiz Bowl team for their strong performance at the Blessed Angela tournament on Saturday, February 8th. Smith had 3 teams participate in the all-day tournament with the A team finishing in fourth place overall. This placement has secured Smith a spot in the 2020 NAQT National Championship. Achyudt Venkat, the captain of the A team, placed in the top 8 students for individual points scored. Congratulations on a job well done! However, the team’s overall success is a result of the hard work and determination of the entire crew: Shivani Angadi, Brandon and Matthew Grabowski, Mark and Michael Hong, Michael Hsiao, Philip Kapp, Steven Li, Brian Liu, Junha Park and Ashmit Shrivastava. A special thanks to our high school liaison and coach, Amogh Angadi for his guidance and dedication and to Mr. Venkat, Mr. Grabowski and Mrs. Kapp for keeping score during the tournament.

Congratulations, Smith Science Olympiad Team!

The Smith Science Olympiad team participated in the University of Michigan's 1st ever Division B Championship and earned the 6th place trophy! The team was comprised of only 6th grade students, as the 8th graders were on the Washington D.C. trip. The team is preparing for the Regional Competition, which will take place on February 29th. We are very proud of our 32 students representing the Smith Knights and appreciate the support of their parents and family! Go Knights!

Thank you for your support of the PTO
