A Virtual Venue
For the very first time in our history, we are meeting in the wonderful world that is Zoom.
Since lockdown in March, we have had hosted a very successful series of webinars with sponsors, PPMA members and new and old friends.
We want these conversations to continue. This virtual event is our first opportunity to gather our community together since Coronavirus took over our daily lives.
And it is an important opportunity......
Preparing for Tomorrow's World....
Although we have moved our planned Annual Conference to April 2021, our theme is more resonant than ever.
Tomorrow's World: Purposeful Work and Lives has take on a meaning that none of us could have really envisaged. The threat of an invisible killer has forced us to focus on how we live our lives, the abject inequities across our society whether we see that in educational and career opportunities, access to services and so on.
Human beings are complex, emotional beings. And we are drive by more than our educational and career opportunities. We are driven too by a sense of purpose.
Co-vid 19 and our collective and individual responses has brought all of this into sharp relief. This moment in our history, more than any other recent event, has lit a sense of yearning that must be addressed.
So the need to think about a Tomorrow's World that delivers more purpose in both our working lives and our family lives is urgent.
As well as starting to think about the new futures we need to create post Covid 19, there is an extraordinary body of experiences and learning within our community that we need to harness.
A virtual conference programme that works
Our 2 day virtual conference programme is a dynamic combination of Keynotes, Case Studies, Virtual Sponsor Engagement Spaces and Panel sessions.
Case studies and panels will allow us to hear from our members about some of the work that has radically transformed public services delivery in record time.
Virtual Sponsor Engagement spaces will enable us to hear a broad range of views on 4 key themes: People, Transformation, Community and Innovation and Creativity.
We plan to have some of our April keynote Speakers join us too for shorter sessions to help us think about how we can apply what we have experienced so far in thinking through building post Covid futures.
We will be slightly tweaking our Conference 2021 agenda to make sure that we're incorporating learning from September. And we'll be hosting more Webinars between September 2020 and April 2021.
Celebrating our PPMA Excellence in People Management Awards 2020
It is very important to us that we still celebrate this years amazing Award Winners.
But of course, there is no disguising that it will be a very different experience to our normal Gala Dinner.
We will be rolling out the Award Winners for nearly all of our categories in the run up to Virtual Conference. We will be publishing the schedule shortly.
On the morning of the day each Award category is being announced we will be sharing the shortlist at 10 am and then announcing the Winner at 4pm. We will be starting on September 1st.
We will be closing Virtual Conference on Wednesday 16th September by announcing the Winners of the following awards:
- PPMA HRD of the Year
- President's Award for Special Contribution
- Winner of Winners Award.
