"Art is a way of survival." Yoko Ono

"I don't want to be at the mercy of my emotions. I want to use them, to enjoy them, and to dominate them."

this project uses organic shapes and geometric shapes through rhythm and movement. the flow of colors and shapes into each other is fairly evident. the lines and shapes also create different patterns. several color themes are shown throughout the eight different panels.

inner peace and meditation is hard to seek and even harder to find. this piece was inspired by the quest for contentedness and relaxation in our busy lives. I believe it's very important to take time to breathe.

"She didn't quite know what the relationship was between lunatics and the moon, but it must be a strong one, if they used a word like that to describe the insane."

this picture uses a cool color theme, paired with a touch of it's complimentary warm yellow. the movement of the cloud is expressed in the flow of similar shapes and varying colors.

"When hope is fleeting, stop for a moment and visualize, in a sky of silver, the crescent of a lavender moon. Imagine it -- delicate, slim, precise, like a paper-thin slice from a cabochon jewel."

It may not be very useful, but it is beautiful.

each gesture drawing shows proportions and varying in line to create a change in values and a variation in the character of line.

midnight snacks and insomnia = attempt and abandonment of grid use
