On November 12, close to 150 classic and contemporary cars entered the Annual Veterans Day Car Show and parade for a chance to win prizes and bragging rights (until next year). Here are some of these unique and iconic automobiles and motorcycles.
And don't forget about the motorcycles on display!
The official judges labored over every car with an eagle eye, looking for deductions and scoring each vehicle appropriately.
The official judges weren't the only ones going over the vehicles with a fine-toothed comb. The Hill Country Veterans that visited the car show were car enthusiasts themselves and owned many of the models. They exchanged stories of adventure and pride of ownership.
The thing that makes classic cars such a draw, are the details like badging, chrome, unique colors, anglesĀ and other little touches that allows them to tell the stories of days gone by.
The only way the car show can be successful is with the wonderful group of volunteers and community partners that pull together and make it happen. Every year, the car show raises money for Veterans Programs at the Kerrville VA. This year, Voluntary Service raised almost $5,000.
