Bouke Edskes

Jacob Gasparich

In my 35 years of coaching Jake stands out as having the greatest character of any athlete that I have ever had the privilege of working with. Jake is selfless, he cares about every single person in the program and is always there to support their needs before his own.

Albert Go

SENIOR - TENNIS - COURSE 2 (MECHANICAL ENGINEERING) - MERRITT ISLAND, FL

Albert is an amazing person who embraces humility and inspiration and leadership. Albert as a freshmen struggled to make the starting lineup but continued to work hard and by his senior year he was playing at the top of the lineup. More impressive is that Albert is a genuine humble person who inspired those around him to not only be better players but more importantly better people.

Steven Goldy

SENIOR - TRACK & FIELD - COURSE 16 (AERO/ASTRO ENGINEERING) - CENTENNIAL, CO

When in the middle of a championship, Steven knows when to get on someone and when to make someone else laugh. And he does it all while also preparing himself for the race of his life.

"Matt Johnston is not only a great baseball player; he is a genuine and thoughtful person. Everyone involved with MIT Baseball will be forever proud and grateful for Matt’s contributions and positive influence he demonstrated throughout our program. Matt Johnston would be a very deserving recipient of the Edwin J. Cochrane Award."

Vedaant Kukadia

SENIOR - SQUASH - COURSE 6-2 (COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING) - MANHASSE, NY

Vedaant has always played in the top 5 of our lineup, and brought a lot of serenity, and experience to the team. He is liked, and respected by all team members, and always radiates a positive energy throughout the group. He has shown all the true qualities of a fighter, hard worker, and sportsmanship, very often being too nice on court. He was a true leader that guided the team, helping us achieve our best 2 seasons in a long time.
  • 2-time CSA Individual National Championship Qualifier (16-17, 17-18)
  • Helped MIT win its first-ever CSA national title as the Engineers won the Division C Summers Cup on February 17, 2019

Will Roberts

SENIOR - FOOTBALL - COURSE 8 (PHYSICS) - SACREMENTO, CA

Will's career was placed in serious jeopardy when he broke BOTH legs vs Johns Hopkins in November of 2019. He spent one week in a Baltimore hospital after undergoing surgery. Will rehabbed all winter, spring and summer to return for our second game. He went on to play the remainder of the season and was voted all NEWMAC.

Christien Williams

SENIOR - BASKETBALL - COURSE 6 (COMPUTER SCIENCE) - CHARLOTTE, NC

Christien's leadership and presence was a source of selflessness and consistency throughout his tenure as a member and captain of the basketball program. Whether walking across campus as an active role model, being one of our staunchest defenders, to routinely challenging and expecting the most out of his teammates, this young man has been a joy to coach and we are all excited to see what he does next!

  • Started all 15 games he appeared in, averaging 4.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 47.1 percent from the field and 50 percent from three
