Fallen*

by Volbeat

Feel the sadness burning in my heart

You left too early father love

So many things I should have said

But in your mind you knew it well

Holding on to what I gotta love

But things still seem so dark and cold

The fire burning down my happiness

But I will rise.

So proud and strong you truly were

I took it with me as a tool

A gift from father to his only son

Watching over me with eagle eyes

You gave me freedom to a life

Where dreams are born and truly became real

See me fallen, yeah, down and lonely

Are the angels on their way, I'm in the dirt

Hear me screaming, see me bleeding

'Cause the day's no more the same

Without you

Promise me, my son, you always will

Cherish what you love, believing in

Never lose your values, stand up for the day

Oh dear father I thank you for this

I'm writing this song on your desk

Together we can make it through the day

See me fallen, yeah, down and lonely

Are the angels on the way I'm in the dirt

Hear me screaming, see me bleeding

'Cause the day's no more the same

Without you

See me fallen, yeah, down and lonely

Are the angels on the way I'm in the dirt

Hear me screaming, see me bleeding

'Cause the day's no more the same

Without you

See me fallen, yeah, down and lonely

Are the angels on the way I'm in the dirt

Hear me screaming, see me bleeding

‘Cause the day’s no more the same

Without you

*The whole song is a metaphor that his fathers death is killing him and he's expressing how he hurts.

Through the glass

by Stone Sour

I'm looking at you through the glass

Don't know how much time has passed

Oh God, it feels like forever

But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home

Sitting all alone inside your head*

'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass

Don't know how much time has passed

All I know is that it feels like forever

When no one ever tells you that forever feels like home

Sitting all alone inside your head

How do you feel? That is the question

But I forget, you don't expect an easy answer

When something like a soul becomes initialized

And folded up like paper dolls and little notes**

You can't expect a bit of hope

And while you're outside looking in

Describing what you see

Remember what you're staring at is me

'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass

Don't know how much time has passed

All I know is that it feels like forever

When no one ever tells you that forever feels like home

Sitting all alone inside your head

How much is real? So much to question

An epidemic of the mannequins

Contaminating everything

When thought came from the heart

It never did right from the start

Just listen to the noises

(Noel in void instead of voices)

Before you tell yourself

It's just a different scene

Remember it's just different from what you've seen

I'm looking at you through the glass

Don't know how much time has passed

And all I know is that it feels like forever

When no one ever tells you that forever feels like home

Sitting all alone inside your head

'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass

Don't know how much time has passed

All I know is that it feels like forever

When no one ever tells you that forever feels like home

Sitting all alone inside your head

And it's the stars

The stars that shine for you

And it's the stars

The stars that lie to you

And it's the stars

The stars that shine for you

And it's the stars

The stars that lie to you

I'm looking at you through the glass

Don't know how much time has passed

Oh God, it feels like forever

But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home

Sitting all alone inside your head

'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass

Don't know how much time has passed

All I know is that it feels like forever

But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home

Sitting all alone inside your head

And it's the stars

The stars that shine for you

And it's the stars

The stars that lie to you

And it's the stars

The stars that shine for you

And it's the stars

The stars that lie to you

Who are the stars

Who are the stars they lie

*what this is saying is that it feels like forever in her head but this is and exaggeration it's not really forever he's saying he's been just a thought. Hyperbole

**what this is saying is that when something like a soul becomes folded like paper dolls and notes he doesn't literally mean they are folded up but that the soul is taken away from him and squashed by who he loved. Simile

By Ghost

I feel your presence amongst us

You cannot hide in the darkness

Can you hear the rumble?

Can you hear the rumble that's calling?

I know your soul is not tainted

Even though you've been told so

Can you hear the rumble?

Can you hear the rumble that's calling?

I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart

I can see through the scars inside you

I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart

I can see through the scars inside you

A candle casting a faint glow

You and I see eye to eye

Can you hear the thunder?

Can you hear the thunder that's breaking?

Now there is nothing between us

From now our merge is eternal

Can't you see that you're lost?

Can't you see that you're lost without me?

I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart

I can see through the scars inside you

I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart

I can see through the scars inside you

Can't you see that you're lost without me?

I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart

I can see through the scars inside you

I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart

I can see through the scars inside you

I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart

I can see through the scars inside you

I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart

I can see through the scars inside you

*This is showing that if you can hear the rumble as in the person can hear the rumble that is calling for them because they're not alone.

**This shows that thunder can't literally break what they mean is can you feel your heart aching.

The Road Not Taken

By Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.
