How it started and ended

IT BEGAN IN 1194 B.C. WHEN THE TROJAN PRINCE ABDUCTED HELEN, WIFE OF MENELEUS OF SPARTA. WHEN MENELEUS DEMANDED TO GIVE HELEN BACK THEY REFUSED. IT ENDED IN 1184 B.C. WITH THE TROJAN HORSE.

What was the trojan war?

IT WAS THE BRONZE AGE CONFLICT BETWEEN THE KINGDOMS OF TROY AND MYCENAEAN GREECE.

What were the main players?

ODYSSEUS : THOUGHT OF THE TROJAN HORSE WHICH ENDED THE WAR. AENUS : ONLY SURVIVING TROJAN WARRIOR. ACHILLES AND DIOMEDES : TWO OF THE GREATEST GREEK WARRIORS.

Odyssey Connection

Odysseus goes to Troy to go back home so Homer is telling the story of Odysseus after the Trojan war because he was the hero. Odysseus was the one who thought of the Trojan horse.
