Mastermind Connect Newsletter June 2018

Greetings Masterminds,

We’re almost at the half year mark and that is unbelievable. Our goal is to constantly challenge our members and community to be the best version of themselves. We went from giving fashion styling tips to young men at InStitchu NYC, and showing them how to tie a tie at The Children's Aid Society in Harlem, to our own fashion filled soiree at Hotel Chantelle, for the Derby Style event we co-hosted with the Hooch app.

Our members met for their monthly MC Recess in Manhattan, and to brainstorm on how to elevate themselves and those around them, and even supported fellow member Danny Alotta and his Joy Juice Org event to support teenagers with cancer.

We also celebrated our one year anniversary by taking some of the Mastermind Connect’s crew down to the nation's capital to kick it with our D.C. Chapter. We’re humbled by all the support and would like to thank the good people at Eighteenth Street Lounge for the hospitality. If you’re live in the Washington D.C. metro area, area please feel free to inquire on how to become a member HERE.

Well, it seems there is much to celebrate but the work doesn’t stop. We’re back with our Young Masterminds Initiative Spring event in Brooklyn, NY, this Saturday June 2nd. We’re excited to work with the Coalition for Hispanic Family Services on this amazing event. There will be workshops, fitness boot camp, panel discussions, beat making classes and more. If you plan on attending with your teen or want your teen to attend please RSVP HERE.

With much reflection, guidance and diligence, we can externalize the jewels we have buried within. With the right brotherhood, we can create a safe space to encourage each other to do so. This is why we’re inviting our member to participate in our Mastermind Book Review Workshop. Please email us at info@mastermindconnect.com for details on location

Not quite Summer ready yet? “The Commitment” outdoor group fitness challenge, a weekly event we offer our members and their guests, focused on holding ourselves accountable to staying healthy. We have a great rotation of fitness experts like Marlon Briscoe, Carlos Davila and Tyrique Wade making sure every week stays lit. Please click here to secure a spot!

We're going back to Andes, NY for a weekend of hiking, camping, camaraderie and all around fun in a 40 acres private property. This a Mastermind Connect members-only event. Please RSVP here.

We began working with the young men of the NYC Urban Ambassadors in 2017. These young men have decided to strive for excellence in their lives. We have been fortunate to be asked by the New York City Department of Education to curate monthly panels and workshops for this most important program. It has been a wonderful experience and we are happy to attend their upcoming recognition ceremony at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. These young titans are off to conquer the world and the Mastermind Connect will be there to support. Please click on this link to RSVP.

We would also like to encourage you to enjoy two very exciting events our members have going on this month. Make sure to click on the links below to get your tickets before they're gone:

The Mogul Summit, presented by UWayne Andre Turnbull

... and the Creole Food Festival, presented by Fabrice Armand.

As we continue to give you a glimpse of what Mastermind Connect has to offer in the form of programs and experiences for our members, we promise to you that we will only get bigger and better. Please visit our website if you know of any gentleman who wants to step up his game.
