Jim Crows laws were enacted by the southern states in the beginning, then the southern states legalized Jim Crows laws. which legalized segregation between whites and blacks.

Jim Crows laws affected both African Americans and Caucasians, most Caucasians was fond of the way the way life was under Jim Crows laws.
