Preschool South Sanpete school distrIct

You want the very best future and life for your child that you can provide. We do, too! Students who access quality instruction in preschool receive important skills in social relationships, language, and pre-academics that set them up for a more successful school experience.

“Begin with the end in mind...”
...with preschool, now.

How can preschool help your child’s future?

Some students’ individualized learning differences impact their ability and development for their age. South Sanpete is always actively seeking to find, identify, evaluate, and serve students who have disabilities and may qualify for Special Education, a Federal program that ensures and provides equitable educational opportunity. Also, we have a working relationship to transition children who are receiving Early Intervention with Central Utah Public Health Department (ages 0-2) to our programs before they turn 3 years old. Our staff and services are highly trained to deliver evidence-based service, instruction, and intervention to promote each student’s optimal growth guided by Utah’s Early Childhood Core Standards. Services the district may provide for some students’ needs are:

  • Specially Designed Instruction
  • English-Language Learning Supports
  • Speech and Language Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physical Therapy

SSSD has a working agreement with the Division of Workforce Services to provide preschool services for students who receive an IGP VOUCHER. When parents receive one they just need take it to their closest district preschool teacher.

Evidence-Base Programming

SSSD Preschool Programs in Ephraim, Gunnison, and Manti will assess and evaluate your child’s strengths and weaknesses. All children assessed will be considered with what available seats are available in each preschool with tuition at $50/month; fees waived and priority given for students exiting Early Intervention services, qualify for Special Education, or have received an Inter Generational Poverty Voucher (DWS IGP Voucher).
