Midland, MI - April 25, 2017 - The Dow Gardens is pleased to announce the appointment of Certified Tree Specialist Brian Siler to the position of Whiting Forest Canopy Walk Manager and Arborist. In his new role he will provide leadership and daily oversight of the facility's brand new 1400-foot canopy walk, the longest in the nation.
"The dynamics of this new multi-talented management team will have a tremendous impact," said Director Elizabeth Lumbert. "Brian has developed a wealth of knowledge, pertaining to forestry operations, that will be truly invaluable as we grow."
Siler is an ISA Certified Tree Worker with ISA Aerial Rescue Certification and ISA Aerial Lift Specialist Certification. He graduated from Midland High School and obtained an advanced certificate in Welding Engineering Technology from Delta College.

Since being established in 1899, as a home for Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow and their seven children, the 160-acre Dow Gardens has welcomed more than 130,000 guests per year.
