Fundraising with Flair “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” - Colossians 3:23

Planning a church fundraiser can be wonderful! It can also very hectic and stressful. If you have ever planned one you know that most of us never seem to have enough help and there is always so much to do! First, you need ideas. Second, you need to plan. Third, you need to know who can do what. Then, you have to work out the details. Oh Lord bless the necessary details.

"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." - I Thessalonians 5:18

Well today is your day to be blessed. I have some ideas for you!

Think of how you can customize your activities and events, making them unique and personal. Decorating and getting the word out about a prayer breakfast, a dinner, a special banquet, fashion shows, bake sales, and arts and crafts sales can all be done with style and customized to suit your tastes.

"This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." - Psalms 118:24

After you have secured a suitable location for your event, I suggest that you next think of a theme. Do you have a favorite food or flower that you have always wanted to use as decorations? Or is there someone's favorite color that you would just love to showcase at this particular venue. Whatever it is, think of using that to advertise and decorate for your event.

Let's start with purple flowers, oranges, and blueberries.

Then, we can look for complementary photos to use on the flyers and announcements, tickets, place cards, and programs.

From these, we can design flyers, place cards, and tickets.

Our third example incorporates blueberries. These photos have pancakes so we would think about using these to get the word out about a prayer breakfast or brunch.

Next, we can look for a centerpiece for each of the tables. All that will be left to do is to add colorful table cloths and welcome the people! "Come one, come all to share with us in fellowship."
